Safe and stylish, with an excellent locking system. Very, very, very easy to put together thanks to the straight forward instruction book. I did it during my tots nap time and still had time for a coffee!

I now have 3 of these gates in my house. On the instructions it says installing one will take 10 minutes...
...it only took that for the first gate, with the second and third taking about 5 minutes each. You need a screwdriver, a tape measure and for accuracy a spirit level (to ensure you get the hinges vertical). Very, very simple to install.
How do they look? Great! We visited almost every baby shop in our city and all the baby gates were the same: nasty plastic or nasty painted cheap metal. None felt very secure and would make our house look ugly: not nice when we've just renovated an old 19th century home.
The doors are easy to use and can be shut simply by swinging the gate back: it clicks into place. Opening is an easy one handed motion with no lifting required. They can also be opened and closed in silence (swinging the door shut makes an audible "click" sound). Unlike many gates which press against the door frame, this gate screws into the frame. The downside is that when you are finished with the gate you will either have a slim aluminium slide on each side of the door (if you are planning more kids), or you will have 3 screw holes on each side. The upside is that there is no metal bar across the floor: no trip hazard, which I rate as far more important, especially if carrying a sleeping baby!
While not cheap, they are many times better than any other doors available. This is a case of you get what you pay for.

Well made, easy to fit and adjust to the required width, easy operation which is no problem using one handed and looks terrific once installed.
Maybe a little expensive (£60), but once installed it is worth it.

We bought two of these gates and loved the design they arent as sturdy as we would have hoped and we have had a few issues in installing the gate from our banister to wall and we have a lip on our banister so please consider before purchasing.
